[Simply Computers] Re: System Restore

 

If the System Restore points (files) get corrupted somehow, then System Restore will fail.

Try Walt's suggestion for running System Restore in Safe Mode.

You might try a much earlier point, to see if only the most recent ones are corrupted.

However, please note that if you follow the suggestion to turn System Restore off, it will delete all your old Restore Points. When you turn it on again, you will have no Restore points until you reboot the computer, at which time you will have only the Restore point which will bring you back to the day you re-enabled it.

But if System Restore does not work now, you will lose nothing by deleting the old Restore points anyway.
