Thanks a lot all - it looks like I am doomed. I got the OEM Number from from My Computer/System Information. I bought another computer from ebay with Win 7 Pro installed. As a term of the sale, I specified I needed the COA number with the computer. I found out from Microsoft that the number had been "cancelled, (I believe that was the term) and I tried the OEM number (had to buy the disk from ebay)
and it did't work. As soon as I started typing an OEM number in the MS Validation I got told I did not have a valid COA. I didn't get to enter more than one or two characters before that happened. I have a case with ebay but I think I am gonna stick with XPP after this. Thanks for the help.
