[Simply Computers] Re: Need to know?

Jean, I'm not sure who you're talking to here.

You don't seem to understand the concept of Replying to earlier messages, so the new messages that you post don't have the suggestions that other people have sent you.

Or perhaps you wish only to speak to John?

You need to buy a separate, licensed copy of Win 7 for each of your computers, but you do not need to buy the full version, just the upgrade disk version.

Amazon.com has the Win 7 upgrade disk for $108, and the "family pack" for $148 (3 licenses)

I know that's a lot of money, but that's what it costs.

If you have a version of Win 7 that is labeled with a third party manufacturer's name (like Dell or Eon), then yes, they usually will not install on other computers.

My Dell disk don't have the EON? listed on the disk or on my bill of sales. The win. works disk envlope does hav ""Tracking no.---" on the label. Te 7 operating system disk carries a P/N N number Thanks, Jean in GA
