[Simply Computers] Phone/internet/computer connection?

I asked a question before, and immediately got a good answer. So I will
try again, with the same high hopes.

I want a way to use a phone as a modem to allow me to use my computer
online.

I was told that I could use a Samsung Galaxy 2, 4G on TMobile with an
"app", as a modem, to receive high speed Internet on my computer via a cable,
or wireless.

Can anyone verify how this would be done, what App I would use, and how to
set it up. Ultimately I would like to be able to watch streaming movies,
and UTube.

My computer is a HP Pavilion, AMD Phenom X4 9150e 1.8 GHz. with 4 GB DDR2.
running Vista

The computer has an antenna, and is WiFi compatible.
The WiFi and antenna, are not used at the present time.

Using AOL as my browser. Been with them too many years to change,
actually too old (76) to change .

I presently have a Verizon MiFi 2200, and I am using it, via cable to the
USB port, but it is so slow, that U Tube looks like a beginner doing a robot
dance. Unusable other than downloads, and email. Signal level is good.
